Two-storey side extension in Bader Close, Yate
Client Brief: We helped our client wanted create space by making the kitchen and utility areas larger, while adding a ground floor W/C, extra bedroom and en suite bathroom.
Current Status: Planning consent granted, building regulation application submitted, awaiting start of construction.
The owners of this modern semi detached house in Yate needed some extra living space, and wanted to substantially increase the value of their first home. Once the initial designs were agreed, we produced full plans and elevation drawings, and submitted the planning application. Planning consent has now been granted for a two-storey side extension to provide a larger kitchen, new utility room, ground floor toilet and study with two bedrooms and a family bathroom above. The internal garage space will be considerably reduced but will still provide suitable storage for bins and cycles.
As with many properties in this area, careful consideration was needed to overcome issues with the layout of existing foul drains, but we worked closely with Wessex Water engineers to agree a solution. Construction will begin on site very soon.
