JFL Design & Planning Ltd was set up by Julian Lowther in 2011, with a mission to provide high quality, integrated and affordable architectural and planning services to home and business owners in the greater Bristol area.

Residential developments, including extensions, loft conversions and internal layout redesigns, are at the heart of our business. JFL Design & Planning also support business and commercial property owners, and are happy to manage change of use applications, office to residential conversions and provide a fast track service for scaled floor plans.

We are proud to be a part of the Planning Portal’s Smarter Planning champion scheme, and make full use of online file sharing through the planning and building regulations processes, to save time, money and the environment.

We have been awarded Accredited Agents status by Bristol City Council, which is a measure of the trust the Council has in our services – and it also means that they aim to reach a decision faster if it has come through us, than with a ‘normal’ application.
